What is Praetorians – HD Remaster?
Relive the celebrated real-time strategy classic Praetorians, re-imagined in high definition. Praetorians is set amidst the political machinations of an emerging Roman Empire. Prove your worth on the battlefields of Egypt, the combat theaters of Gaul and finally the heart of the Empire itself in Italy, in a crusade to become Emperor. Your quest will not be an easy one, as the Empire is heavily defended by thousands of different troops and war machines, all with special skills and individual strengths.
To emerge victorious, you’ll need to learn to combine your units and exploit the weaknesses of your enemies. But beware – the closer you get to the Emperor, the closer you get to facing the Praetorian Guard – the most powerful and deadly fighting force in the Empire!

Which factions are playable?
Players have the option of choosing between three fully-fledged, unique and challenging factions:
More defensive. Players’ choice and favourite unit Legionaries, which is supposed to be the best standard fighting unit in the game.
The Romans don’t have the best cavalry, but what they lack in mounted units they make up for in infantry.
Where the Romans are more defensive, the Gauls are more offensive.
Notable units are Berserkers and Warriors as strong offensive units, as well as Noblemen cavalry.
However, while powerful, Gaul’s units are costly to recruit.
Egyptians yield greater numbers and are cheaper to recruit, but are generally more fragile. Their cavalry/chariots are excellent, however their soldiers are a bit underpowered. Combined with the huge amount of cheap and quick-to-build infantry units, they can overcome opponents early in the game by sheer numbers alone.
Will there be multiplayer?
Yes. The multiplayer will also be more challenging, even for veterans of the game, as common tactics that work in the campaign and/or in skirmish-battles against the AI might not work so well against other players.
Will cross-platform multiplayer be implemented (PC vs consoles)?
No, cross-platform multiplayer, e.g. PC vs consoles, will not be available.
How many missions will the campaign feature?
The campaign will feature 24 challenging single player missions.
