Kalypso Media introduces new Customer Communications department
Expansion and restructuring at Kalypso Media Group GmbH continues as Managing Director and founder Simon Hellwig and the company’s management team have today announced that the company has created a new Customer Communications department. The division will combine the key areas of social media, community management and customer support to focus on quick response times and uniform customer communication. Dr. Bettina Albert, Kalypso’s current Social Media Manager, has been assigned to lead the department, taking on the new role of Head of Customer Communications and reporting to Dr. Anika Thun, Director of International Marketing at Kalypso Media Group GmbH.
Said Dr. Thun:
“Social media, customer support and community management have already done a great job in the past in helping us build a relationship with our players. By merging these areas, we can be much more efficient in our assistance and feedback, bundling and processing incoming queries from players while communicating much more consistently with the community via various channels”.
Despite the pandemic, Kalypso Media has made a wide array of structural changes in 2020 including establishing a Japan-based contingent in Tokyo, expanding and relocating its USA division to Seattle, Washington, launching the in-house entertainment channel ‘Kalypso_live’, increasing its worldwide studio growth by 50% to 150 employees, and founding Darmstadt’s ‘Claymore Studios’ (tasked with continuing the world renown Commandos series).
Said Hellwig:

The restructuring and expansion of Kalypso Media Group GmbH comes as the first steps in a multi-year plan so to further anchor Kalypso Media as prominent player in the games industry. Further announcements will be made in the near future.
